The Department of Chemical Engineering of Universidad de la Frontera is one of the most prestigious chemical engineering departments in the country. Building its prestige since 1982, the year it was oppened.

The department offers 3 programs; Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering and Environmental engineering. and one Joint Program with the Industrial Engineering Department, Industrial with Bioprocesses Engineering.
